Matthew Satriano
PE Teacher
Matthew spent much of his life hiking, surfing and kayaking around the world and has developed a high confidence level that he believes everyone can achieve. He decided to pursue his Physical Education degree at Florida State University to teach children how to raise their confidence to a new level. In 2006, he became a Physical Education Teacher and Athletic Director at M292 in the Lower East Side NYC and created a sound physical education curriculum and after school sports programs such as basketball, table tennis, softball, flag rugby, badminton and sailing. With his experience, knowledge and optimism, Mr. Satriano will commit his time during and after school hours at Metropolitan Expeditionary Learning School to allow every student reach a higher level of wellness and develop into good decision makers, successful risk takers and respectful and responsible citizens. These goals will be reached by participating in a wide variety of sports, recreation and cooperative activities.
