Audrey is of Dominican descent and was born and raised in Queens, NY. She is a proud product of the NYC DOE public school system. Audrey attended the SUNY University at Buffalo and earned a bachelor’s degree. After returning home and working for one year, she realized her journey wasn’t over quite yet. She joined the NYC Teaching Fellows, earning a masters in Urban Adolescence (Special Education) at LIU Brooklyn. As an educator, Audrey was put into various leadership roles in her school community, which led for her desire to become a school leader. Audrey earned a dual leadership degree from Bank Street College of Education and wishes to positively impact students who are growing up in the same system she did. Audrey is excited to work with the students and families of the MELS school community. When not at work, Audrey enjoys time with her family and planning trips to see more of the world!
