Sharoff

Jessica Sharoff is a Queens native with a passion for science and education. After attending NYC public schools, she earned a B.S. in Science of Earth Systems from Cornell University and an M.A. in Climate and Society from Columbia University. Jessica then spent six years working with Columbia University, the World Food Program, and the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre, where she focused on using climate models for disaster preparedness. Throughout her career, her favorite part was always education and outreach. This led her to pursue a master’s in Teaching from the American Museum of Natural History in 2015. Jessica is excited to bring her real-world experience and love for science into MELS’ classrooms. Outside of teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing sports, and exploring the diverse food scene in Queens.
