Weston Halberstadt loves bringing science alive for his students. A native Kansan, he attended University of Kansas and earned a BS in Physics while also getting certified to teach. After graduating, he left The States and worked at a bilingual high school in Quito, Ecuador. In his time living abroad, he lived with an Ecuadorian host family, learned about Ecuadorian culture, and tried all types of Ecuadorian food. After his 4 years teaching abroad, he moved to NYC and taught at a Charter School in the Bronx for 3 years. Now, he is excited to work for The DOE and teach here in Queens. Weston is so excited to join the MELS community and is passionate about bringing science to life for his students so everyone can see how Physics and Environmental Science impact their everyday lives.
