Brooke Winter-DiGirolamo
Special Education Teacher
Brooke was born and raised in North Salem, New York before heading up to Maine to attend Bowdoin College. After college, she moved to Brooklyn where she worked in the arts for several years before receiving a master’s degree in art therapy from Pratt Institute. As a licensed creative arts therapist, Brooke began working with children and adolescents in residential treatment programs, first at Green Chimney’s and then at Andrus. Through these experiences, she realized her passion for working with young people and the power of education to effect change on both an individual and societal scale. She is a NYC Teaching Fellow, and is thrilled to be a part of the Expeditionary Learning community as part of the amazing and inspiring team at MELS!
