Hillary Mills
Co-Principal
Hillary finds her way out to New York with some Midwest roots and a recent life chapter in California. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Systems from the University of California San Diego where she was captian of the Triton track team as well as an active member of the UCSD outdoor education program. She discovered her passion for being an educator when working with young adult as a wilderness instructor and then a naturalist all throughout the mountains, deserts and coast of California. She found her way to the classroom where she taught middle school Math and Art in the San Francisco Bay Area before going back to her true passion, science, as a 7th and 8th grade science teacher in East Palo Alto. Hillary was recently the Lead Middle School Teacher and founding Mentor teacher for the Aspire Public Schools Teacher Residency Program. She is continually in awe of middle school students and their curiosity. She feels honored and incredibly excited to be part of such a passionate staff!
