Sandra Drozd
Math Teacher
Sandra Drozd was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and grew up in Bridgeport, CT. She studied Psychology and Neuroscience at Amherst College, Clinical Psychology at Clark University, and Education at Long Island University. Sandra is entering her tenth year as a math teacher and is thrilled to begin her first year at MELS! She is passionate about grappling with and addressing sources of inequality in our society and hopes to inspire the same drive for social justice in her students. Sandra lives in North Richmond Hill with her husband and 3 children. When she’s not teaching, she is exploring Forest Park with her family and is active in various forest preservation projects. Sandra also enjoys gardening, carpentry, and DIY projects.
